With the exhibition “Solen er hvid/ The Sun in White” the artist Sophia Kalkau shows photographic artworks created during the last three years. In connection with the exhibition the museum will publish the catalogue “Solen er hvid” with text written by the author Ursula Andkjær Olsen. The project is supported by Augustinius Fonden and Statens Kunstråds Projektudvalg.

The last time Sophia Kalkau exhibited at Horsens Art Museum was in 2011 with the exhibition “Efter ægget / After the Egg”. Here she showed sculptures, photographs and objects from the last ten years of work.

Sophia Kalkau (b. 1960) is educated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1996. She works as both an artist and as an author.
