Pilgrimage for an Armchair Explorer by Erik A. Frandsen

Horsens Art Museum gladly presents a larger exhibition with the artist Erik A. Frandsen. The exhibition consists of new artworks created by the artist and gives the audience a look inside the artist’s actual artistically way of working. In the spring of 2014, Erik A. Frandsen went on a 1000 km walk from Gran San Bernardo in Switzerland to San Pietro in Rome. The moments and impressions from this trip, is what the exhibition Pilgrimage for an Armchair Explorer shows. Here you for instance can experience watercolors, mosaic columns on marble plinths and twelve small mosaic works with motifs from Erik A. Frandsens sketchbook.

Erik A. Frandsen is largely presented in Horsens Art Museum’s own collection. The collection includes photography, painting, mosaic and sculpture.
